Applications for COVID grants for hospitality and leisure businesses are closing soon

Businesses in the hospitality, leisure and accommodation sectors that have been affected by the Omicron variant should not delay with making their application. Check with your local council for their closing date as it does vary between 28 February and 18 March 2022.  

The new Omicron Hospitality and Leisure Grant will see eligible businesses receive a one-off grant of up to £6,000 per premises.

To qualify, businesses must:
  • be solvent
  • be liable to pay business rates
  • have been trading on 30 December 2021
  • have an eligible business rates premises that is within the hospitality or leisure sector (such as a pub, hotel, restaurant, bar, village hall or club)
     
The amount of grant available is varied by the rateable value of each eligible premises on 30 December 2021.
 
Rateable value £0-15k £15k-51k >£51k
Value of grant available £2,667 £4K £6K
