Businesses contracted to Carillion who are worried about being able to pay their tax can get help and advice from HMRC’s Business Payment Support Service (BPSS).
The BPSS is available seven days a week from 8am to 8pm on weekdays, closing at 4pm on Saturday and Sunday
on 0300 200 3835.
If you’re unable to pay your tax on time as a result of the Carillion collapse, the BPSS can provide a wide range of practical support and advice including arranging payment in instalments or deferring payments due to short-term cash flow difficulties. They can also suspend any debt collection proceedings, review penalties for missing statutory deadlines and reduce any payments on account.
