A Private Client Tax Partner based in Moore UK member firm Johnston Carmichael's Aberdeen office, Max joined the firm from a Big 4 accounting firm at the start of 2019 and has significant experience on a range of private client tax matters.He specialises in working with shareholders and management teams of owner-managed and private equity backed business advising them on transaction-based work and related personal planning. This includes advising sellers and buyers on the tax implications of MBOs, MBIs, and trade sales, as well as the design and implementation of management incentive plans. Since joining Johnston Carmichael, Max has led tax advice on transactions with a combined value in excess of £10bn.Max has a particular interest in the private equity sector working with both private equity backed companies and private equity funds.
