Clive, who has an honours degree in finance and accounting, qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 1981 after training with EY in Birmingham and became a Fellow of the Institute in 1992. After qualifying, he spent seven years in Bermuda initially with EY before joining Aon to take up the position of President and CEO of its Bermuda subsidiary.

He moved to the Isle of Man in 1989 to establish Moore Stephens, now one of the largest firms of Chartered Accountants in the Island. The firm has Investor in People accreditation and ISO 9001 certification. It is also a full training office with the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England & Wales, a Platinum accredited training office with the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants and is closely involved with the Isle of Man government Local Small Business Start Up Scheme. In 2010 Moore Stephens Isle of Man was recognised as an Isle of Man Champion business by the Chief Minister of the Island.

Clive has overall responsibility for the firms strategic direction, client servicing and client relationships.

Clive is also a member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners, the Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment, The Chartered Institute of Marketing, the Chartered Management Institute and the Institute of Directors. He was named a Top 50 Most Influential Private Client Advisor of 2013 and 2014 by Private Client Practitioner, and Leading Private Client Advisor of the Year, Isle of Man, by the ACQ Global Awards 2015.
