South Coast Business Works 13 February 2015 Share I have just returned from the South Coast Business Works exhibition held at the Novotel Southampton. This is the events fifth year and it was hosted by the Southern Daily Echo.Moore took a stand this year in order to promote its “local presence - global reach” message.In keeping with the message a business card draw was held with the prize being hamper of local produce accompanied by a selection of wines from around the world. We were amongst good company with fellow exhibitors Radcliffe & Co, HCS Safety, Digital Incubator, Veritas Security and Trethowans Solicitors to name but a few.There were plenty of opportunities to meet with local businesses during the event through the Speed Networking session. The event also featured some high profile keynote speakers together with an informative and thought provoking Question Time Business Panel hosted by Lee Peck of Lee Peck Media.The key message was to keep up the momentum of building businesses through being bold and investing in the future. Local businesses need to step up, pull together and fight off the commercial challenges of other regions and the rest of the world.It was clear from speaking to other exhibitors and delegates that business confidence is building in Southampton and the surrounding area and businesses are looking forward to a period of sustained growth.We at Moore are keen to assist local businesses with their future business growth and strategic planning and were able to offer a one hour free consultancy session to exhibition delegates. Consultancy topics on offer included business start up advice, general accountancy and taxation advice and financial health check.We were very pleased with the day’s events and will definitely be exhibiting next year.
