Confidence for 2019

OMB confidence in the general outlook and performance for 2019 has slumped in this year’s survey.

Across all three areas surveyed (general outlook, meeting revenue and profit targets), these are the lowest confidence levels reported since we began our OMB surveys.

Whilst it’s clear from respondents comments that concerns about Brexit and uncertainty about any final deal have dampened spirits, our report finds that the entrepreneurial spirit of the OMB sector continues. Despite current challenges, many OMBs are placing a stronger focus on sustainable, profitable growth – rather than growth for growth’s sake.
