Sunil Sharma, joined Moore North West LLP during October 2010 as Head of Capital Allowances, prior to this he was a director with a national property consultancy and a senior manager with a big four accountancy firm.

Sunil has around 14 years experience in the areas of capital allowances consultancy and property. As well as being a member of the Royal Institute of Charted Surveyors, Sunil has also successfully completed an MBA at Henley Management College.

In main, Sunil splits his time between Manchester and Glasgow however his clients can be nationally and internationally based. Sunil and his team assist other Moore network members by bringing in their specialist surveying experience when this is required.

His varied client base includes some of the larger investors and developers around the country, as well as the private property investors. He also works for a number of owner/operators particularly in the retail, healthcare and leisure sectors.

Recent work includes the successful capital allowances valuation and negotiation of over 75 store openings for a national retailer, the £30m extension of the headquarters/distribution unit for the same operator and the valuation of capital allowances based on the £15.5m acquisition of a distribution unit in Liverpool.

Recent work includes the capital allowances valuation of a 50 strong portfolio of public houses and bars; the capital allowances re-valuation of a hotel property where the previous claim figure was significantly increased due to an understanding of the construction process. He has also worked with a number of care home operators, ensuring that capital allowances are optimised in this capital intensive sector.

Early input not only helps to maximise the availability of capital allowances in general, but where applicable also the availability of enhanced capital allowances.
