Moore (South) LLP and Lucas Fettes and Partners successfully launch their combined, customisable auto enrolment service

4 seminars took place across the south coast in a 2 day auto enrolment de-stressed road show
Thank you to everyone that attended our auto enrolment seminars across the south. Each event successfully generated a range of excellent questions and good discussion as to how businesses should plan for the auto enrolment of their employees into a suitable workplace pension.

Moore and Lucas Fettes launched their joint proposition for a ‘one stop’ service to provide businesses with the right auto enrolment and payroll solution.

“With all the current employees records already held within payroll, auto enrolment must surely ‘start and end’ with the payroll function, so why create additional records elsewhere” said Esme Shakeshaft, partner and head of payroll at Moore in Newport. “The software market today is seeing an increasing reliance on off the peg payroll solutions such as Sage that do not rely on data transfer through third party middleware.”

Emma Welling, the auto enrolment coordinator for Lucas Fettes set the scene for workplace pensions and the new compliance, explaining who will be affected and the new duties now required of an employer – being the timely implementation of a qualifying pension scheme on the given staging date, assessing and automatically enrolling all eligible employees, communicating the new arrangements to workers and making the correct contributions to the appointed pension provider. Chris Wales, a chartered financial planner at Lucas Fettes, with experience in setting up over 100 auto enrolment schemes advised, “ It would be prudent to plan ahead of the field to ensure employers get their pension of choice, and in light of the lower introductory contribution rates in 2016 some employers have chosen to introduce their pension scheme ahead of their staging date”.

Moore is a Gold accredited Sage partner and our work with clients has ranged from onsite installation and training to a fully outsourced service tailored to suit. With our payroll experience and familiarity of software processes we can find the right solution for your payroll administration. Esme added, “Our preference is an independent solution that gives you the freedom to change pension providers without having to re-engineer the auto enrolment process, essentially it is embedding a new process into proven payroll function”.

Summing up Emma said “Working together we can provide a complete step driven solution for the private and family owned organisations combining pension advice from Lucas Fettes and payroll services of Moore”.
