The what, when and how of auto-enrolment - a successful seminar on auto-enrolment and the tools available to help you through the process.

Our team at Moore (South) LLP were pleased to see a full house at our auto-enrolment seminar last Thursday at Albert Cottage on the Isle of Wight. It was a great opportunity to network and we thank everyone who attended for making the event a success.

Rob Oates, a professional trainer from Sage, presented on the background to workplace pension reform, employer duties and the '7 steps' to successful auto-enrolment. Rob also demonstrated how Sage can ease the workload.  Regulation, compliance and penalties is a tough topic to address when the Isle of Wight sunshine beckons, but Rob's light-hearted and entertaining delivery kept our focus which then  stimulated good questions across the room to round off the session.

Here at Moore, our aim is to ensure all our clients are aware of their obligations, deadlines and the risk of horrendous penalties. We strongly encourage making an early start on pension provision for your employees to ensure you get the pension scheme of choice.

The message we delivered on Thursday has been summed up by Esme Shakeshaft, Partner at Moore (South) LLP as below:

'Auto-enrolment is not just about finding a pension company. It will have a significant impact on HR, payroll and finance functions - and for many organisations the process could be costly and resource intensive. Understanding the compliance could be a journey of considerable  length in itself, and the impact is so much more than just the extra pension costs. Early preparation is critical to ensure changes required to systems, processes and communications are identified and effectively addressed'.

Moore (South) LLP has a sound relationship with financial advisors Lucas Fettes, and between us our 'one stop shop' approach can deliver a comprehensive auto-enrolment and payroll management solution, ensuring clients meet their obligations and mitigate as much cost and risk as possible - delivering exceptional value their business.
