Wilbur’s Cash for Clothes Week – week commencing 25 March 2019

Andrew Coldwell

As part of the Moore Salisbury office commitment to the local community, our chosen charity this year is Wiltshire Air Ambulance who have a mascot named Wilber.

We would like you to be involved with a fundraising initiative – Wilber’s Cash for Clothes Week.  For one week, we will be collecting the following items:

•    Sheets, duvet covers, pillowcases, towels, belts, hats, clothes, shoes and handbags.  (Not pillows, quilts or duvets).  These can in any condition and will be sent to the Recycling Centre.
•    Clothes, belts, hats, shoes, handbags, board games, books and ornaments which will be sold in their shops.

You can deliver your items to the Salisbury office during normal office hours during the week commencing 25 March 2019.  (8.30am – 5.00pm Monday to Thursday and 8.30am to 3.00pm on Friday).

The Wiltshire Air Ambulance Charitable Trust has a mission statement that is simple and effective – “they save lives.”  The charity does this by raising sufficient funds to finance an air ambulance service in Wiltshire and adjacent counties.

Last year Wiltshire Air Ambulance built a new airbase for their helicopter, aircrew and charity team in Semington.  In December 2018 The Duchess of Cornwall officially opened the new airbase in front of more than 150 guests.

We hope that through this fundraising initiative we will help Wiltshire Air Ambulance hit their target of raising £3.75m a year, this will enable the ambulance service to continue operating a dedicated service.
