for seeing off stiff competition for one of the most hotly contested awards.

Karen Bosley from Spire FM , was delighted to announce the winner as
Landford Stone, a family run company based in Salisbury that prides itself on being the best stone company in the UK.

The evening started with entertainment from Texas and lead vocals by Sharleen Spiteri.

To commemorate the 800th anniversary of the Magna Carta, which is on currently on display at the Cathedral, there was a fun video of what the Business of the Year Awards would have looked like in 1215, with the acting parts played by some of the judges. Robert Newman, Chairman, Moore (South) LLP and Andy Williams, Managing Partner of the Salisbury office, were dressed as medieval minstrels showcasing their musical talents on a recorder and trumpet.

This was followed by a welcome from Ceri Hurford-Jones, Managing Director Spire FM, before the finalists were announced and the awards presented to the winners.

Andrew Coldwell, Group Joint Managing Partner, Moore (South) LLP commented: "It was an incredibly close run race between the finalists and I would like to congratulate them all on their achievements and success to date.

"I would also like to commend everyone involved in the awards for organising such a fantastic evening which recognises the wealth of business talent we have in our local community."

Robert Newman, added: "We chose Landford Stone as our winner as they have been consistently impressive over the past few years. This year they have seen the effect of their investment in both product development and marketing with sales increasing substantially. This, coupled with improved cash management and investment in their team, has strengthened the Balance Sheet and provided a good platform for the next stage of continuing business development."

Molly Fisher, Managing Director of Landford Stone said: "Landford Stone are a company whose work and business ethic is to always strive to achieve the very best.  This is only possible with the whole team pulling together which is what sets us apart from any other stone company.  All at Landford Stone would like to thank Moore for this extremely prestigious award.  Public recognition has made us all very happy."
