'Tissue' raises £2,500 for Breast Cancer Unit Campaign

Robert Newman and Jonathan Green were delighted to accompany Dan Avery to hand over a cheque for £2,500 to the Stars Appeal, which was raised from ‘Tissue’, a play about breast cancer. The play was directed and produced by Dan, a local actor and director who also works as a nursing assistant at Salisbury District Hospital.

Robert Newman, Chairman, Moore (South) LLP commented “We were delighted to sponsor Tissue to help raise funds for our charity of the year, the Stars Appeal, Breast Cancer Unit Campaign. We would like to thank everyone who supported the event and donated prizes for the Silent Auction. Our thanks also go to Dan for putting so much hard work into the project and involving us right from the start."

Gemma Heath, Events & Community Fundraiser for the Stars Appeal said “We are incredibly grateful to Director and Producer Dan Avery for his wonderful efforts in raising £2,500 from the play ‘Tissue’ which was performed in May in the Studio Theatre Salisbury. The play was kindly sponsored by Moore Salisbury. Our thanks to all involved for their marvellous efforts. Their support will help us towards the £750,000 target to build and equip Salisbury’s first dedicated Breast Cancer Unit that will help thousands of local people receiving treatment for breast cancer.”
