Over £2,000 raised in a week for Sussex Snowdrop Trust

Chichester host their annual charity pub quiz and raise in excess of £2,000 between the quiz and their Rustington Beaujolais Lunch

Moore Stephens' Chichester office were joined by 16 teams from local businesses to raise funds for The Sussex Snowdrop Trust who provide care at home for children with threatening or terminal illnesses and support for their families. We are proud to be able to support them.

The winning team on the night was from Chichester Racquets and Fitness Club who took the wine home. They were closely followed by the Bartholomews Agri Food Limited team who ended the evening only one point behind, having led going into the final round. So close! All the scores were very close and a huge well done to everyone who took part and thank you for their contribution.

We are really grateful to have had a full house and to have had everyone in such a generous mood. To all of you that attended on the night and took part in the event and donated so many lovely prizes, thank you very much.

Your 'Pennies from Heaven' raised a brilliant £1,957.20, which together with £175 raised at our Rustington Beaujolais Lunch means a grand total of £2,132.20 has been raised in the past week for The Sussex Snowdrop Trust.

We are also grateful for the donation received from Rathbones, contributions from Montezuma's Chocolates for our heads and tails prize and Rich Products for the muffins and cakes. Our thanks also to La Fish who proved to be a great catch on the food front and who made a generous donation to the charity as well. If you are near the Hornet in Chichester do pay them a visit. Finally, our thanks to John at the Masonic Hall  for allowing us to use the room, manning the bar and keeping our brain cells hydrated.

We know that Diana and her team at Snowdrop will make good use of the funds and we are pleased to support such a great cause.
