Salisbury office to host new Bond film

Regional Charity Gala Screening of SPECTRE

Sony Pictures have granted the Salisbury office permission to host a Regional Charity Gala Screening of SPECTRE on Tuesday 27 October.  All the proceeds from this black tie event will go to the Stars Appeal Breast Cancer Unit Campaign in memory of Sue Richardson, the wife of partner, Peter Richardson, who sadly passed away earlier this year from cancer.

The team have organised a spectacular evening to celebrate the eagerly awaited return of James Bond in the new film SPECTRE.  Guests will enjoy a champagne and canapés reception at the Guildhall with gaming tables, laser pistol shooting and Aston Martin Scalextric.  There will also be a silent auction and raffle with a glittering array of money-can’t-buy prizes donated by local businesses.  Guests will also be able to win prizes  for each activity and a special Moore ‘Red Carpet’ prize will be awarded to the best dressed male and female.  The celebrations will end with  the highlight of the evening, a private screening of SPECTRE at the Odeon Cinema in Salisbury.

Robert Newman, Chairman Moore (South) LLP said:  “We are extremely grateful to Sony Pictures for awarding us the honour of hosting the Regional Charity Gala Screening of the latest Bond film for the fourth time.  Coincidentally SPECTRE will see Daniel Craig reprise his role as the 007 secret agent for the fourth time.  It promises to be another glamorous, action-packed occasion.  We are delighted to be raising funds for the Stars Appeal again, a fantastic local charity which does so much worthwhile work for the benefit of the local community.  The last Regional Charity Gala Screening of Skyfall raised over £5,000 and, having totted up the amounts from the previous two, we are proud to have raised a grand total of almost £23,000 for local charities, including The Community Foundation for Wiltshire and Swindon and St John's Ambulance."

Having reached its initial target, fundraising for the Stars Appeal Breast Cancer Unit Campaign is continuing in order to provide additional enhancements and equipment, and to create an ongoing fund with which to fund extra support services for breast cancer patients when the Unit opens next year.

Consultant Breast Surgeon and joint Chair of the Breast Cancer Unit Campaign, Vicky Brown said: “We are hugely grateful to the team at Moore for choosing us to benefit from this exciting event.  Their support will enhance our new Breast Unit and the support services we offer yet further and in doing so will help many local people undergoing treatment for breast cancer.”
