Salisbury Accountants head to Oslo

Moore Salisbury act, effectively, as the finance team for the UK company of the DigiPlex Group and DigiPlex invited the UK team comprising Robert Newman, Eleanor Turner and Sarah Pearce to attend the DigiPlex Group meeting in Olso. The purpose of the visit was to build a more joined up DigiPlex finance team across Europe and give them the opportunity to meet their opposite members in Norway and Sweden.

During the visit they were discussing the use of a company pan European software product as well as reporting requirements across the Group companies.

The visit was planned as part of the Group's 'Town Hall' meeting which the Group held to keep all team members (about 35) up to date with the company's developments and strategic plans.

This meeting was held at the Mini Bottle Gallery in Oslo, a most eccentric Gallery that houses a collection of 53,000 miniature bottles of which 12,500 are on display.

The tour included the basement 'house of horrors' (all in the best possible taste) and to reach this everyone was invited to take the slide! As each person went down the slide a trumpet ta-da announced their arrival. Apparently the DigiPlex group were the only tour ever to have all taken the slide to the basement (even the accountants!).

The trip provided a fabulous opportunity to meet the other members of the DigiPlex team and learn how the whole Group operate together, which included the joys and challenges of being part of a multi-national multi-cultural team (Norwegian, Swedish, Icelandic, British, American, Austrian, and more!).

The UK team were given the opportunity to visit DigiPlex’s data centre in Ulven which gave them a chance to see the operation working.

Eleanor and Sarah commented "The trip to Oslo was very worthwhile and it was a great opportunity to meet a lot of people and gain a better understanding about DigiPlex. The snow was a bonus!"
