CCH OneClick MFA Improvement

CCH OneClick MFA Improvement

An update from CCH: -

Last year we rolled out mandatory Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) for users of CCH OneClick. MFA provides additional security at time of login by requiring the user to receive and enter an additional code during the login process.

However, we have listened to your feedback and we acknowledge that not all of your clients feel the need for mandatory MFA.

Therefore, from Friday 30 April when users next log in to CCH OneClick and are asked to enter an MFA code they will see a ‘Remember Me’ option. Selecting this option will enable them to log in without being asked for an MFA code again.

The Remember Me option applies to the combination of user and device. This enables a user to tell the software to ‘remember’ them on their home computer but not their work computer, for example. It also means that two CCH OneClick users sharing a computer can have different preferences as to whether or not they are prompted to enter an MFA code.

Please note, that selecting Remember Me does not turn of MFA indefinitely. For security reasons the software will only ‘remember’ the user for 30 days after which they will be prompted for an MFA code again, but they will also be able to select Remember Me again and suppress this requirement for another 30 days.
