ABOUT THE ROLE OF BUSINESS TAX MANAGER

We are currently recruiting for a Business Tax Manager to be based in one of our five office locations: Chichester, Guildford, Isle of Wight, Salisbury, and Southampton. You will be working with both individuals and businesses to help them meet the complex demands for UK tax reporting and to structure their affairs in the most tax-efficient way both for now and the future. The Business Tax Manager role will, therefore, include tax compliance, planning, and strategy. The role of Business Tax Manager will also include the management responsibility for more junior staff members. You will be expected to coach and mentor junior employees, playing an active part in their career development plans and progression.

SKILLS & EXPERTISE REQUIRED FOR THE ROLE OF BUSINESS TAX MANAGER

  • Qualified in either ACA, ATT, or CTA
  • Experience in Corporate Tax compliance and advisory work
  • Experience as a Corporate Tax Manager, in a large or medium-sized accountancy practice in a specialist tax role

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES FOR THE ROLE OF BUSINESS TAX MANAGER

  • Managing and leading the business tax team
  • Building and maintaining business relationships with clients and providing high levels of client service while managing client expectations
  • Reviewing corporation tax computations for a portfolio of business clients
  • Advising companies of their tax liabilities
  • Managing HMRC enquiries on behalf of clients
  • Research and planning on specific projects
  • Working as part of the Moore teams to provide an efficient and holistic service to our clients
  • Contributing to winning new work by providing a great service to our existing clients and helping us win new clients through business development and tenders
  • Managing the successful delivery of tax projects, ensuring technical excellence and a practical, business-driven approach
  • Dealing with our clients on a day-to-day basis providing a responsive service

The above is not an exhaustive list of duties, and you will be expected to perform different tasks as necessitated by both your changing role and the overall business objectives of the Firm.
